Elkhorn, WI - For those who enjoy the fine art of dining out, United Way of Walworth County launches a new community restaurant program. This coming January, lovers of good food can dine and support United Way at the same time, as participating restaurants donate a portion of their incoming revenue.
By supporting United Way, restaurants and their customers will help 43 local agencies serve nearly 38,000 residents in Walworth County. From critical issues like homelessness to drug prevention programs, United Way seeks to affect change and make Walworth County a better place.
Options for donations will include:
-
50%-100% of profits from a daily United Way special entrée item
-
25% or more of daily gross revenue
-
A non-specified customer donation with a free offering of the restaurant’s choice
-
All proceeds from sales of appetizers or desserts; with purchase of entrée or sandwich
Every month, a listing of participating restaurants will be advertised in CSI’s Shopper and Weekend editions as well as 30 second spots on WLKG 96.1 FM. They will also be included in a listing of program partners on the United Way Web site. Greater participation will earn additional exposure opportunities including mention in the United Way Restaurant Dining Guide Web site and cable TV ads.
“We are very excited about this opportunity to partner with local restaurants and help promote their businesses while spreading goodwill throughout the calendar year,” said Vicki Jacobs, executive director of United Way of Walworth County. “Really, growing your business in the name of a great cause, what could be better?”
All interested restaurants can join in by contacting Jacobs by email at vjacobs@uw-wc.org or calling (262) 374-4474.
